Background The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is issuing this invitation to bid to establish a term contract for the procurement of three sizes of Wheel Loader units, both new and used. The goal of this contract is to provide ODOT and Political Subdivisions with the necessary equipment on an as-needed basis, ensuring access to reliable machinery for various operational needs. Work Details The contract will cover the purchase of three sizes of Wheel Loader units. Bidders are encouraged to submit pricing for both new and used equipment. The specific quantities and types of equipment required are currently undefined, as purchases will be made based on need. Delivery must be F.O.B. Destination to any of ODOT’s twelve Districts and eighty-eight county locations in Ohio, with delivery required within 180 calendar days of receipt of a valid Purchase Order. Each vehicle must be delivered with a full tank of Diesel Fuel and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). Additionally, the awarded vendor must provide installation/assembly costs, labor costs, and inspection costs within the net unit bid prices submitted. Period of Performance The effective duration of this contract shall be for twelve (12) months from the Date of Award, with the possibility for ODOT to unilaterally extend the contract for up to one (1) calendar month at the original unit bid prices awarded. Place of Performance The contract will be performed across various locations in Ohio, specifically at ODOT’s twelve Districts and eighty-eight county destination locations. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be registered through the Ohio Shared Services Office to obtain an OAKS Vendor Identification Number prior to award. This registration process does not apply to vendors who have previously participated in ODOT purchasing contracts. Additionally, bidders are required to submit descriptive literature that fully describes the units being bid in both hard copy and electronic format.
