Background The contract is issued by the 75th Air Base Wing at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, to provide musical services for Catholic programs at the base chapel. The goal of the contract is to ensure that all musical accompaniment, direction, cantor support, and cantillation are provided weekly to support various Catholic services and events. Work Details The contractor will provide all musical accompaniment, direction, cantor support, and cantillate as necessary to support the various Catholic programs at Hill Air Force Base Chapel. Services include: - Weekly services - Weekly rehearsals - Special services (such as penance services and memorial services) - Special rehearsals authorized by the Wing Chaplain or Catholic chaplain. The contractor is expected to perform not to exceed 104 weekend masses and 18 Holy Days or special services. The contractor must be present at least 30 minutes prior to mass for rehearsal and will play prelude music for five to ten minutes and postlude music for five minutes. Qualifications include a minimum of three years’ experience in selecting and directing Catholic Parish music, with a bachelor’s degree in music preferred but not required. The contractor must also have experience in church accompaniment and be able to read sheet music. Period of Performance From March 27, 2026, to March 26, 2027.
