Background The County of Kauai is seeking as-needed professional land surveying services for the Department of Public Works, Engineering Division. The goal is to provide essential surveying services to support various public works projects within Kauai. This solicitation is a re-publication due to inadequate responses to a previous solicitation (2026-PROF-8). Work Details The contractor will provide as-needed land surveying services including: - Survey property corners - Construction layout or verification of survey points - Easements - Preparation of maps - Metes and bounds legal descriptions - Legal property survey research work - Shoreline certification work - Recordation of legal maps and easements. The contractor must have a permanent office on Kauai with a licensed registered surveyor. Minimum qualifications include registration with the Hawaii PVL as a land surveyor with at least 5 years of experience in Hawaii. The estimated cost for these services is $50,000 per year. Period of Performance The contract will be for a four-year multi-term period. Place of Performance Services will be performed on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be registered with Public Purchase and submit their resumes and letters of interest electronically. They must comply with Act 190, SLH 2011, utilizing the Hawai‘i Compliance Express (HCE) for proof of compliance regarding tax clearance and other regulatory requirements prior to contract award.
