Background The National Park Service (NPS), part of the United States Department of the Interior, is seeking contractors to provide installation services for spray foam insulation at Many Glacier Cabins 2 & 3 in Glacier National Park. This project aims to enhance the energy efficiency and structural integrity of the cabins, which are part of the park's administrative complex. The NPS is conducting this sources sought notice to gather information for market research and planning purposes, not as a request for quotes. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for spray foam insulating: - 24-inch tall exterior crawl space stem walls - 12-inch tall rim boards - Access panels under two separate cabins measuring 26' x 18'. The total lineal feet of wall to be sprayed is 176 feet (88 feet per cabin), with a full depth application of 3.5 inches on the studs. Additionally, a vapor barrier with taped seams covering 468 square feet will need to be installed in one cabin. The cabins are newly constructed, having been installed in the summers of 2024 and 2025. Installation scheduling will depend on site availability and may be affected by lingering snowpack conditions. Period of Performance The anticipated period of performance for this contract is from April 14, 2026, to May 15, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed at Many Glacier Ranger Station Administrative Complex located in Glacier National Park, Montana, specifically in a remote rural area approximately 132 miles from Kalispell, Montana.
