Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, is issuing a contract for specialized paleontological services to ensure compliance with The Antiquities Act of 1906 and The Paleontological Resources Protection Act of 2009 for the Fort Randall Project. This project is located on federal lands within the Lake Francis Case/Fort Randall Project area. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: - Conduct comprehensive surveys of geological strata; - Perform professional excavation of fossil resources upon discovery; - Ensure proper curation of recovered fossils at an approved and professionally acceptable facility. The resultant contract will consist of a base year with four (4) one-year option periods. Period of Performance The contract will have a base year with four (4) one-year option periods.
