Background LWP Technologies, LLC (LWP) will support the delivery of the RockOn and RockSat student launch opportunities conducted at Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) in collaboration with the NASA Sounding Rocket Program Office. This contract aims to facilitate educational experiences for undergraduate students through hands-on involvement in rocket launches. Work Details The contractor shall perform the following duties: A. Support for RockSat: 1. Select 10 to 20 RockSat teams based on their WFF Intent to Fly Form submissions. 2. Schedule and conduct approximately 8 reviews per team for 5-10 teams (totaling 40 to 80 reviews), providing summaries and required actions for various design reviews, ensuring that 90% of teams complete their reviews and finalize experiments. 3. Review and edit documentation templates and procedures, manage team submissions, and hold weekly staff meetings with WFF support staff. 4. Provide support for 6-8 reviews and documentation required by the NASA Sounding Rocket Program Office. 5. Offer onsite support at WFF during integration, testing, launch of team experiments, and data recovery/analysis in May/June 2026 for RockSat. 6. Provide feedback on RockSat team final reports. 7. Travel support for onsite activities related to item e. B. Support for RockOn: 1. Install all surface mount components on the flight computer for RockOn (~400 components). 2. Hire and pay 8 collegiate student helpers for the RockOn hands-on workshop. 3. Provide onsite technical support during workshop instruction in June 2026 for approximately 20-24 teams, each consisting of 3 to 4 students and a faculty member. 4. Travel support for onsite activities related to item c. Period of Performance October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026 Place of Performance The majority of work will take place in Aurora, Colorado, with required travel to Wallops Flight Facility (WFF) for workshops, integration, launch, and recovery.
