The Defense Finance and Account Services Contract Services Directorate is seeking sources and capability statements for Material Handling Vehicle Maintenance Services. The following documents are attached: Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). Contractor Capability Survey. Schedule of Items. The ideal provider will have verifiable experience and expertise in Material Handling Vehicle Maintenance Services for the Department of Defense, including: Ability to provide scheduled (quarterly) preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance and/or repair for approximately 16 vehicles, including electric pallet jacks, electric forklifts, and electric EZ-GO carts. Ability to provide technicians that: Posses a Craftsman Motor Vehicle Certification or equivalent. Posses the specialized training required to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards for repairs, diagnostics, and safety of material handling vehicles Posses, at minimum, one-year of experience with maintenance and repair of material handling vehicles. Background The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) is seeking sources and capability statements for Material Handling Vehicle Maintenance Services. The agency's mission includes ensuring the financial management of the Department of Defense. This contract aims to maintain operational efficiency through proper maintenance of material handling vehicles. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing scheduled (quarterly) preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance and/or repair for approximately 16 vehicles, which include electric pallet jacks, electric forklifts, and electric EZ-GO carts. The contractor must provide skilled personnel who possess industry standard certifications and specialized training to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards for repairs, diagnostics, and safety of material handling vehicles. Additionally, a minimum of one year of experience in maintenance and repair of such vehicles is required. The scope includes inspection, maintenance, repair, replacement of parts, testing, and all other services necessary to perform these tasks according to manufacturer guidelines while minimizing disruption to building occupants. Period of Performance The contract will have a one-year base period with four additional one-year option periods. Place of Performance The primary location for performance is at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service-Indianapolis (DFAS-IN), 8899 East 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46249, with additional work at the Post Rd.
