MARFORRES RCO is requesting information and Rough Order of Magniture (ROM) pricing to assist in determining competition and market analysis. Please refer to the Performance Work Statement attached for this further details regarding this matter. If you have any questions please contact jordyn.edwards@usmc.mil
Background The Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) Regional Contracting Office (RCO) is seeking to enhance the training capabilities of the Mortuary Affairs Realistic Lane Training for Personnel Retrieval and Processing (PRP) Company. This contract aims to provide specialized training that is not typically available through standard military training methods, focusing on the use of cadavers to improve the training value for Marines preparing for combat missions. The PRP Company is the only Mortuary Affairs Company in the Marine Corps, necessitating unique training approaches to ensure personnel are adequately prepared for real-world scenarios. Work Details The contractor will provide the following services: 1. **Cadaver Provision**: Supply fifteen (15) cadavers for training scenarios. 2. **Instructor Support**: Provide five (5) instructors to assist with handling questions from participants regarding Non-Transplantable Anatomical Media (NAMs). 3. **Cadaver Handling**: Responsible for delivery, removal, scenario preparation, and post-training cleanup of cadavers. 4. **Transportation**: Ensure transportation of cadavers to multiple training sites and manage disposal of cadavers and biohazard materials post-training. 5. **Training Support**: Assist DoD personnel during various mortuary affairs and medical training operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed when interacting with cadavers. Period of Performance The period of performance will be for a nine (9) day base period from August 2, 2026, to August 12, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be conducted at multiple training sites aboard Camp Grayling, MI. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with the Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA). Contractors must have expertise in transportation, storage, and handling of cadavers as per the Revised Uniform Anatomical Gift Act (2006). All personnel assigned must meet specific minimum qualifications related to cadaver handling and must be familiar with essential equipment used in this context. Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail) This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent, with Guardian Centers of Georgia awarded three prior cadaver/NAM-related training contracts under M6786125P0024 ($148,231; 07/25/25–08/13/25), M6786124P0022 ($127,323; 08/05/24–08/15/24), and M6786123P0018 ($111,714; 08/04/23–08/15/23). The prior work is described as cadaver training and NAM support for mortuary affairs training, which aligns with the current requirement to provide cadavers, instructors for handling questions related to NAMs, and logistics for delivery/removal and post-training cleanup/disposal.
