Synopsis: NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Multi-Shot Pyrolyzer. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to THERMO ELECTRON NORTH AMERICA LLC: 1400 NORTHPOINT PKWY STE 10 | WEST PALM BEACH, FL 33407 under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that THERMO ELECTRON NORTH AMERICA LLC is the sole provider of Multi-Shot Pyrolyzer. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334516. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 6/22/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Work Details The contract involves the delivery and installation of a Multi-Shot Pyrolyzer system with the following specifications: 1) Built-in analytical trap that supports Multi-Shot Pyrolyzer (EGA/PY-3030D) for AC110V. 2) Temperature control calibrated and programmable from ambient to 900°C with ± 0.1°C accuracy. 3) Compatibility with standard split/splitless injection port module (no Helium Saver Option). 4) MicroJet Cryo-Trap (MJT-2030E) for Thermo TRACE GC Ultra, including necessary mass spectrometer connector. 5) Installation services included. 6) Familiarization training for potential users required. 7) One-year warranty on the system. 8) Vendor must have recognized expertise in pyroprobe pyrolyzer design and history of instrument support. Period of Performance Start: June 30, 2026; End: July 31, 2026 Place of Performance Astrobiology Analytical Laboratory at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
