This Call for Solution is issued under the Army Open Solicitation W9128Z-25-S-A002. The Army Contracting Command Redstone Arsenal, on behalf of the office of the US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), is seeking innovative solutions for Advanced Manufacturing Composite Print Capability. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) have a need for accelerated modernization of weapon systems through Advanced Manufacturing (AdvM) technologies that directly address supply chain challenges to underpin readiness. In Accordance With (IAW) Army Regulation (AR) 750-1 (Army Materiel Maintenance Policy), Commanders, U.S. Army Organic Industrial Base (OIB) activities will develop additive and advanced capabilities consistent with Army Materiel Command (AMC) guidance to produce Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) quality parts for use to meet obsolescence and other readiness requirements as required. The U.S. Army AMCOM requires immediate integration of AdvM composite capability at Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) to address critical readiness gaps in aviation maintenance operations. The integration of AdvM composite print technology will enable CCAD to rapidly fabricate qualified parts, tools, jigs, fixtures, and ground support equipment. Background The Army Contracting Command – Redstone Arsenal, on behalf of the US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), is seeking innovative solutions for Advanced Manufacturing Composite Print Capability. The U.S. Army recognizes the need for accelerated modernization of weapon systems through Advanced Manufacturing (AdvM) technologies to address supply chain challenges and improve readiness. This Call for Solution aims to establish AdvM Composite print capability at Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) to address critical readiness gaps in aviation maintenance operations. Work Details The U.S. Army AMCOM requires one (1) AdvM Composite printer for immediate integration at CCAD. The solution must include shipping costs, onsite installations, heavy equipment handling, ancillary equipment, operating software, warranties, feedstock, training, sustainment including preventative maintenance and repair, and on-demand technical support. Initial training will consist of up to four days for five personnel at the installation location with a certificate of completion provided. The printer must meet the following specifications: - Build Envelope: Minimum 20.7 in. x 15.7 in. x 15.7 in. - Build Accuracy: +/- 125 μm or +/- 0.0015 mm per mm - Network Communication: Ethernet with over-the-air updates - Security: Two-factor authentication and encrypted print files - Power Requirements: 200-240 VAC 3PH, 14A, 8kW - Operating System: Must include secure digital library and powerful slicers - Regulatory Compliance: IAW European Conformity (CE), FCC Part B - Print Materials: Must include continuously reinforced fiber polymer, Nylon White, Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Aramid Fiber (Kevlar®), HSHT Fiberglass.
