Shaw Field Irrigation Improvements

Background

The City of Yuma is undertaking a project to improve the landscape and irrigation systems at Joe Henry Memorial Park, located at the northwest corner of W. 1st Street and N. 23rd Avenue in Yuma, Arizona. The goal of this project is to enhance the park's facilities, particularly for the proposed soccer fields, by upgrading the irrigation systems and landscaping.

Work Details

The project includes the following key components: - Improvements for proposed soccer fields - Upgrades to the existing irrigation system - Installation of turf irrigation and drip irrigation systems - Installation of a new 3-inch irrigation meter and backflow preventer - Placement of decomposed granite in designated areas - Removal of approximately 8,500 square feet of turf along the south fence line.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence upon receipt of an executed Purchase Order or written Notice to Proceed. The completion date is set for July 11, 2025.

The work will be performed at Joe Henry Memorial Park, located at the northwest corner of W. 1st Street and N. 23rd Avenue, Yuma, Arizona.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must possess a valid Arizona Contractor License, an Arizona Registrant License, and a City of Yuma Business License. Additionally, contractors are required to comply with all immigration laws as per A.R.S. § 41-4401.
