Medical TPA/Network

Background

The City of Lawrence is seeking proposals from qualified Medical Third Party Administrator (TPA) and network providers to ensure access to competitive pricing and evolving industry trends. The goal is to maintain a comprehensive and sustainable benefits plan for approximately 900 employees and retirees. The City is dedicated to fostering the continued development and economic growth of small, racial minority-, veteran-, and women-owned businesses in an equitable and inclusive way.

Work Details

The selected Medical TPA/network provider will be responsible for managing the health benefits plan for the City of Lawrence's employees and retirees. This includes ensuring access to competitive pricing, adapting to industry trends, and maintaining a sustainable benefits plan. Specific services expected from the provider include claims processing, customer service support, network management, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract period will extend until June 12, 2026.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed in Lawrence, Kansas.

Small, racial minority-, veteran-, and women-owned business enterprises are encouraged to participate in the City’s procurement processes. Proposals must be submitted via the City’s benefits broker, Gallagher.
