Groundskeeping Maintenance for Duck Creek WWTP

Background

The City of Garland is issuing a Request for Bid for Groundskeeping Maintenance at the Duck Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The purpose of this contract is to maintain the grounds of the facility, ensuring a clean and safe environment in line with the City’s operational standards. The estimated budget for this contract is up to $150,000 annually, with an initial term of one year and four optional renewals.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for various groundskeeping tasks including: - Mowing lawns and levees - Litter collection - Weed eating - Applying insecticides and fire ant killer - Weed spraying - Applying pre-emergent for weed control - Edging sidewalks and curbs - Maintaining storm pond grounds. Specific tasks are scheduled throughout the year with defined frequencies. Additionally, the contractor may be asked to perform related landscaping work such as irrigation repairs and tree replacement. All equipment used must be in excellent working condition and suitable for the tasks outlined.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is set for one year with four optional renewals. The work schedule will follow a monthly maintenance frequency as outlined in the bid documents.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at Duck Creek WWTP located at 750 Duck Creek Way, Sunnyvale, Texas 75182.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of a Herbicide Certified License and a Landscape Irrigation License. They are also required to submit references from at least three previous clients who can attest to their groundskeeping services within the last five years. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 23, 2026, which bidders must attend to qualify.
