The Franklin County Municipal Court, Clerk of Court is seeking bids to establish a purchase order for Background Check Services for potential applicants. The services will be utilized in the Clerk's Office located at 375 South High Street 4th Floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215. The goal of this contract is to ensure thorough background checks are conducted for applicants while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with Ohio laws regarding personal information.

Work Details

The contractor will provide Background Check Services that include searching the following records: - Felony - Criminal - Civil - Driving

Sex Offender Registry Screening

- Identity Verification. The Clerk’s Office will provide necessary applicant information including Name, Date of Birth, SSN, Driver License #, and Address. The vendor must be a direct background check provider; third-party pass-through providers are not accepted. Background checks are estimated at 10 per month with a turnaround time of 1-2 business days (longer for out-of-state checks). A secure portal must be used for sensitive information transmission. Bidders must detail the databases searched and the coverage area (Federal, State, County, Local) in their submissions.

Period of Performance

The contract will be for one (1) year starting from the day of confirmed purchase order.

The services will be performed at the Clerk's Office located at 375 South High Street 4th Floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must comply with all Ohio laws regarding personal information and its storage. Bids must be submitted online and should include details on costs associated with the service package as well as any additional costs that may arise from government agency requirements. Vendors must also provide proof of insurance and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
