MOISD Roofing of Career Center

Background

The Mecosta-Osceola Intermediate School District (MOISD) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the installation of roofing materials and insulation at the MOISD Campus Career Center building. The goal of this contract is to ensure a durable and safe roofing system for the Career Center, which serves educational purposes.

Work Details

The project consists of two parts: **Part One - Career Center Metal Roof:** - Obtain a City of Big Rapids building permit. - Install 3” flute fill Expanded Polystyrene insulation. - Install a 1.5” PolyISO coverboard over the top of the ribs for proper substrate. - Include inward tapered insulation across SE edge of the lower section. - Adhere 60-mil gray TPO to the PolyISO. - Wrap membrane up the blue siding wall between upper and lower roofs, removing center gutter. - Eliminate all unused penetrations and support all gas lines to rooftop equipment. - Install walk pads at roof access points and new 24-gauge edge trim. - Re-use gutters on East and West sides, eliminating center gutter system. - Install snow guards along eave edge and provide a manufacturer's warranty of 20 years or more, including material and labor. **Part Two - Miller Wing North:** - Obtain a City of Big Rapids building permit. - Disable existing EPDM and verify any damages or wet insulation. - Mechanically attach ½” HD ISO Hard Board over EPDM. - Adhere 60-mil TPO to new HD Board, install walk pads at roof access points, new 24-gauge edge trim, and new drain inserts at all drains. - Furnish a manufacturer's warranty of 20 years or more, including material and labor.

Period of Performance

The project is expected to commence after bid acceptance with a completion deadline set for August 15, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the MOISD Campus Career Center located at 15830 190th Ave, Big Rapids, MI.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience in pavement installation for roofing systems. They must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, provide a bid bond (10% of total bid price), performance bond (100% of contract value), and possess valid licenses, certifications, and insurance coverage.
