Background

The County of Ocean is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive services for the furnishing, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, maintenance, and servicing of commercial personnel doors and associated hardware at various County-owned facilities. This initiative aims to ensure safe and efficient access for employees and the public while maintaining compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, travel, delivery, disposal, and incidentals necessary for complete installations and maintenance of commercial personnel doors. The scope includes: - Installation of hollow metal doors and frames - Fiberglass doors - FRP doors - Commercial wood doors - Aluminum storefront personnel doors - Fire-rated doors and frames. Exclusions include overhead garage doors and similar specialty systems unless authorized by the County. Emergency service response within two hours is required for safety hazards or operational issues. All work must comply with applicable Federal, State, and County laws including ADA requirements. The contractor must provide qualified personnel with a minimum of two years of experience in similar work.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed on an as-needed basis throughout its term with no specified end date provided in the solicitation.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must submit a Contractor Data Sheet through the Vendor Questionnaire process. They are required to maintain insurance coverages as specified by the County's standard bid specifications. Subcontracting requires prior written approval from the County. All personnel must wear company-issued photo identification while on site.
