Background The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is authorized under Section 408 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act to provide Direct Assistance to eligible disaster survivors. As part of its emergency response mission, FEMA provides Transportable Temporary Housing Units (TTHUs) which include standard household bath and shower items necessary for supporting displaced individuals with disabilities. This initiative ensures that FEMA maintains a Ready for Deployment stock of Manufactured Housing Units (MHUs) in support of the Individuals Assistance Direct Housing Program. Work Details The contract involves the provision of bath and shower items for Transportable Temporary Housing Units (TTHUs) to support displaced individuals with disabilities. The contractor must furnish all materials, supplies, equipment, and related resources necessary to provide Bath & Shower items that meet specific requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Key requirements include: - Selection of Bath & Shower items that comply with applicable fire and safety standards. - Delivery of Bath & Shower items to specified destinations. - Compliance with regulations including American National Standard A117.1, Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Consumer Product Safety Act.
