Purchase of Mental Health Mattresses

Background

The Gwinnett County Department of Financial Services is seeking qualified suppliers to provide mental health mattresses for the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office. The goal of this contract is to procure high-quality mattresses that meet specific requirements for use in custody settings, ensuring the comfort and safety of individuals in their care.

Work Details

The contract includes the purchase of 24 units of Seamless Mattresses, specifically the Comfort Shield, Custody - Marathon model (Item #MM4-2575-MD-619) or an approved equivalent. The unit price must encompass all costs related to the purchase, including delivery. Delivery must be coordinated with the user department. If the awarded vendor handles delivery, a certificate of insurance is required as per attached specifications. If a common carrier like UPS or FedEx is used, a Certificate of Insurance (COI) is not required due to federal regulations.

Period of Performance

The quotes should be received by 3:00 P.M. on June 15, 2026, with delivery expected shortly thereafter as specified in the quote schedule.

Place of Performance

Delivery will be made to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office located at 2900 University Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a certificate of insurance if delivering directly. They should also submit specification sheets for any equivalent products offered, including sample images and dimensions. Additionally, vendors must comply with all insurance requirements outlined in the solicitation documents.
