Background

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is seeking proposals for the provision of inmate clothing and supplies. This initiative aims to ensure that inmates have access to necessary clothing and supplies during their incarceration, aligning with the Sheriff's Office's mission to maintain safety and security while providing humane treatment.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for supplying a variety of clothing items and personal supplies for inmates. Specific items include: - Standard issue uniforms in various sizes - Underwear and socks - Seasonal clothing adjustments (e.g., warmer clothing for winter) - Personal hygiene products (e.g., soap, shampoo, toothpaste) - Bedding materials (e.g., sheets, blankets) The contractor must ensure that all items meet safety standards and are suitable for use within a correctional facility.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for a period of one year from the date of award, with options to extend for additional years based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

All services will be performed at the Madison County Jail located in Jackson, Tennessee.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must demonstrate experience in providing similar services to correctional facilities. Additionally, they must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the provision of goods to correctional institutions. Proof of liability insurance is required.
