Program and Project Management of Los Gatos Capital Improvement Program

Background

The Town of Los Gatos is seeking qualifications from experienced consulting firms to provide comprehensive Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and project management services. The goal is to support the Town’s ongoing investment in public infrastructure and community facilities, ensuring successful planning, design, and implementation of various capital projects.

Work Details

The consultant will manage the entire CIP and coordinate all aspects of project delivery under the leadership of the Town Engineer. Services include:

Project Management

** Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets; coordinate with Town staff and stakeholders; ensure compliance with regulations; prepare project status reports.

Engineering and Design

** Provide civil, structural, and environmental engineering services; develop design plans and specifications; conduct feasibility studies and environmental assessments; ensure compliance with ASCE standards, California Building Code, NEPA, and CEQA.

Construction Management

** Oversee construction activities for compliance with design plans; manage contractor performance; conduct site inspections; ensure safety protocols are followed.

Financial Management

** Develop project budgets; prepare cost estimates and financial reports; assist with grant applications.

Community Engagement

** Develop outreach plans; organize public meetings; respond to public inquiries.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award notification and is expected to last until the completion of the projects outlined in the CIP. Personnel are required to be available during regular Town business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

Place of Performance

Services will be performed in Los Gatos, California.

Bidder Requirements

Consultants must have personnel licensed to practice Civil Engineering and Land Surveying in California. They should also affirm their ability to provide architectural services as needed throughout the contract term.
