Alpha & Bravo Boilers Maintenance

Background

The Department of State Hospitals - Metropolitan is seeking quotes from certified Small Business contractors to perform maintenance services on the Alpha and Bravo Boilers. The goal of this contract is to ensure regulatory compliance with the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This project is classified as a public works project under Labor Code 1720.

Work Details

The contractor will provide all necessary personnel, labor (prevailing wage), tools, supplies, materials, equipment, insurance, incidentals, and properly equipped vehicles for planned or corrective maintenance repairs on the following boilers: 1. Alpha Boiler (Cleaver Brooks, Model: CBEX-E-700-500-250ST; Serial #: T7508-3-1) 2. Bravo Boiler (Cleaver Brooks, Model: CBEX-2W-200-500-150ST; Serial #: T10678-1-1) The services include:

Quarterly AQMD Emission Monitoring

- Monthly AQMD Emission Monitoring for the Bravo Boiler (for newly installed)

Period of Performance

The anticipated term of the agreement is from July 1st, 2026, through June 30th, 2029.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the Department of State Hospitals - Metropolitan located at 11401 S Bloomfield Avenue, Norwalk, CA 90650.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be certified through the Department of General Services (DGS) Office of Small Business. They must provide proof of their legal right to do business in California and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Additionally, bidders must possess a current Contractors State License C-4 for Boiler, Hot Water Heating and Steam Fitting issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Only bids from DGS-certified Small Business Enterprises will be considered.
