Background

San Bernardino County, on behalf of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to provide emergency and remedial plumbing repairs, as well as ongoing maintenance throughout the hospital. The goal is to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, minimize disruption to patient care, and maintain full functionality of plumbing systems in a timely manner.

Work Details

The contractor will provide the following services: - Emergency plumbing repairs with a response time of 2 hours - Written estimates for repairs within 24 hours - Perform unforeseen repairs and scheduled maintenance - Provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, and materials that meet industry standards - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes - Maintain detailed records of all work performed - Submit a detailed service report upon completion of each job - Guarantee all workmanship and materials for at least 12 months - Provide itemized invoices within 20 days of job completion.

Period of Performance

The contract period will be for a maximum of three years beginning on the date an agreement is signed by the Board of Supervisors or its designee.

Place of Performance

All services will be performed at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center located at 400 North Pepper Avenue, Colton, CA 92324.

Bidder Requirements

Proposers must have a C-36 California Plumbing Contractor’s license, be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations, have experience in healthcare settings, and ensure that all technicians assigned are journeyman level or higher. Proposers must also comply with insurance requirements and submit evidence of ability to insure as stated in the RFP.
