BEV Electric Midsize SUV

Background

The Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) of the State of Hawaii is seeking bids for the furnishing and delivering of one (1) Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Electric Midsize SUV. This initiative aligns with the agency's mission to enhance sustainable transportation options within state operations.

Work Details

The contract requires the delivery of one (1) new, model year 2026 or newer BEV Electric Midsize SUV. The vehicle must meet the following specifications: 1. Model: 2026 or newer 2. Wheel Base: 105 inches minimum, 125 maximum 3. Engine: BEV Electric Motor 4. Transmission: BEV Electric Motor 5. Drive Train: 2WD or AWD 6. Steering: Powered assisted with Stability Control System 7. Brakes: 4 wheel anti-lock system, 4 Wheel Disc Brakes 8. Tires & Wheels: 17 inch Radial tires minimum with full or space saver spare tire 9. Body, Interior Features: 7 Passenger seating capacity, dual front air bags (SRS), reverse camera with integrated display, power windows, factory standard radio, factory air conditioning (CFC Free), dealer installed floor carpet mats (front and rear), powered door locks 10. Body, Exterior Features: Dual exterior rear side view mirrors; preferred color is factory white. 11. Other Requirements: Operator’s manual, mileage not to exceed 100 miles at delivery, ability to legally operate on Oahu’s Freeways, two sets of keys/FOBs, vehicle safety inspection valid for no less than 30 days at delivery, pre-collision safety system or similar. The vehicle must include a manufacturer's standard warranty of 36 months/36,000 miles and an electric battery warranty of 7 years/100,000 miles from delivery date.

Period of Performance

The contractor must deliver the vehicle no later than 365 days from the official commencement date specified in the State’s Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance

The vehicle will be delivered to the Department of Accounting and General Services Automotive Management Division located at Central Motor Pool, 869-A Punchbowl Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have an established place of business on the island of Oahu for servicing vehicles and must provide proof of compliance with licensing requirements as per Chapter 437 HRS for motor vehicle dealers in Hawaii. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a tax clearance certificate and other compliance documents prior to contract award.
