Background

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for renovations at the Pearsall Maintenance Facility located at 1522 E Colorado St., Pearsall, TX 78061. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's operational capabilities in alignment with TxDOT's mission to provide a safe and efficient transportation system.

Work Details

The project involves comprehensive renovations at the Pearsall Maintenance Facility, including but not limited to: - Upgrades to existing structures - Installation of new systems and equipment as specified in the contract documents - Compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations - Provision of allowances for various construction divisions such as concrete, masonry, metals, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems. Specific allowances include: 1. An allowance of $420,000 for costs associated with multiple construction divisions. 2. Installation of modular furniture voice/data outlets and wall-mounted voice/data outlets. 3. Provision for electrical installations including boxes and conduit.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to be completed within 540 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed.

All work will be performed at the Pearsall Maintenance Facility located at 1522 E Colorado St., Pearsall, TX 78061.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a bid bond amounting to $84,000.00. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM CT at the project site. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a subcontracting plan with their bid proposal.
