District-Wide Integrated Pest Management Plan Review and Update

A recent meeting document Phoenix Talent School Dist - Board Policy Packet - 2026-06-04 indicates a future potential acquisition Phoenix-Talent Schools District 4 is required by House Bill 2684 (2025) and ORS 634 to review, update, and readopt its Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan every five years. The IPM plan must be posted on the district website and include a list of low-impact pesticides. The plan emphasizes long-term prevention or suppression of pest problems through economically sound measures, focusing on health and safety, building integrity, and ecosystem protection. The plan incorporates sanitation, structural remediation, habitat manipulation, mechanical, biological, and chemical pest control measures, with preference for nonchemical methods and organic treatments.
