The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This requirement is for a non-Personal Services Contract Satellite TV programming content for Palo Alto and Menlo Park Divisions of VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS). Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material, tools, travel and overhead necessary to perform this service at VAPAHCS. The NAICS and Product Service Codes for this requisition are as follows: NAICS code 517410, Satellite Communications, has been verified as the correct NAICS code for the requirement, verified through the BLS website at https://www.bls.gov/cew/classifications/industry/industry-titles.htm The correct Product and Service Code (PSC) for the requirement is DG10, IT and Telecom Network, is verified in the April 2025 PSC Manual. The Period of Performance dates are as follows: April 22, 2027-April 21, 20232. Basic Requirement Information. Background The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to contract for Satellite TV programming content for the Palo Alto and Menlo Park Divisions of the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS). This requirement is part of a non-Personal Services Contract aimed at providing essential television programming to enhance patient experience and services within the healthcare system. The goal is to ensure that patients have access to a variety of channels through a reliable satellite service. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing TV programming from DirecTV satellites and local channels to 911 televisions across the Palo Alto and Menlo Park Divisions. Specific tasks include: 1. Establishing and maintaining all accounts with DirecTV. 2. Providing, installing, upgrading, and maintaining equipment at the head-end, which includes: - Equipment rack - QAM Modulators - Satellite Dish - Laptop for remote monitoring - Test TV monitor - 30dB Launch Amp - COM3000 Receiver blade 3.
