Summary: Background The VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) is seeking a Firm-Fixed Price contract for Dock Levelers Preventive Maintenance and Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the longevity and safe operation of dock lifts, levelers, roll-up doors, and security gates across various locations within the VANTHCS. Work Details The contractor will perform preventive maintenance and repair services on dock levelers and roll-up doors at the Dallas VA, Bonham VA, and Garland VA facilities. The scope includes: 1. Scheduled Maintenance & Inspection: Quarterly maintenance as per manufacturer's recommendations. 2. General Preventive Maintenance Tasks: - Cleaning: Remove debris from pits and moving parts. - Lubrication: Lubricate all moving parts to reduce friction. - Inspection: Check welds, hinges, bearings, cables, hydraulic systems, and electrical components for damage or wear. - Adjustments: Ensure proper alignment of all moving parts. 3. Specific Preventive Maintenance Tasks for Hydraulic, Mechanical, and Air-Powered Levelers: Focus on their respective systems and follow manufacturer guidelines for maintenance. 4. Roll-up Doors Maintenance: Inspect door alignment, curtain condition, guides, weather seals, cables, springs, motor systems, safety features, and electrical components. Period of Performance The contract period begins on June 22, 2026, with options extending through June 21, 2031.
