Summary: Background The Indian Health Service (IHS), Nashville Area Office, is seeking to award a firm-fixed price commercial product/service Requirements Contract for Biomedical Equipment Inspection Services for the Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit in Mashpee, MA. The Mashpee Service Unit relies on various biomedical equipment to ensure safe and effective patient care. This contract aims to provide a structured framework for the annual inspection, testing, and calibration of critical medical devices such as blood pressure machines, AEDs, and laboratory analyzers to meet regulatory standards. Work Details The contractor will perform annual inspections of biomedical equipment including: - Visual examination for physical damage or wear. - Functional and performance testing according to manufacturer specifications. - Verification of electrical safety and grounding integrity. - Calibration checks where applicable. - Documentation of inspection results and identification of any deficiencies. - Recommendations for repair, calibration, or replacement as needed. The scope includes all designated biomedical devices within the facility during the scheduled maintenance period. Period of Performance Base Year: August 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027; Option Year One: August 1, 2027 – July 31, 2028; Option Year Two: August 1, 2028 – July 31, 2029; Option Year Three: August 1, 2029 – July 31, 2030; Option Year Four: August 1, 2030 – July 31, 2031. Place of Performance Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit, 483B Great Neck Road S, Mashpee, MA 02649. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be small businesses as this solicitation is a set-aside for small businesses. They must provide documentation of active licenses and certifications relevant to biomedical equipment inspection. Additionally, bidders should have at least two relevant prior contracts similar to the work being contemplated in the Performance Work Statement.
