NGWSP Block 2-3 Pipeline

Summary: Background The Bureau of Reclamation, under the Upper Colorado Region, is issuing this solicitation for the construction of the NGWSP Block 2-3 Pipeline. The project aims to enhance water transmission capabilities as part of the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project in New Mexico. The goal is to provide a reliable water supply infrastructure that meets the needs of the region. Work Details The principal components of the Block 2-3 Pipeline include: 1. Approximately 6.0 miles of 42-inch diameter buried water transmission pipe. 2. Approximately 5.9 miles of 48-inch diameter buried water transmission pipe. 3. Two 0.3 million-gallon ground level storage tanks, yard, and access road. 4. Wash crossings. 5. Bored crossings. 6. Precast manhole structures. 7. Concrete thrust collars, tapers, and encased miter bends. 8. Buried manholes. 9. Valves, air valves, and blowoffs. 10. Road crossings. 11. Utility crossings. 12. Erosion control measures to prevent soil erosion during and after construction activities. 13. Cathodic protection systems to prevent corrosion of buried pipelines. Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 21 calendar days after receiving the award and must complete all work within a total of 643 calendar days. Place of Performance The work will be performed along the Block 2-3 pipeline alignment, which begins south of the Frank Chee Willetto Reservoir approximately 17 miles east of Shiprock, New Mexico, and terminates at the San Juan Lateral Water Treatment Plant approximately 6 miles east of the intersection of U.S. Highway 491 and Navajo Route 36 in San Juan County.
