Background The USDA Forest Service (FS) Hoosier National Forest is seeking to procure two new All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) as part of their operational needs. The goal of this contract is to replace two existing 2016 Honda Rubicon 500 4x4 ATVs, which have been reliable but are now due for replacement. The contractor will be responsible for the procurement, upfitting, and delivery of the new ATVs, as well as the trade-in of the old units. Work Details The contractor must deliver two fully operational ATVs that meet the following specifications: - Engine: At least 500cc with a 5-speed dual clutch transmission. - Features: Independent suspension 4x4 with electronic power steering, electric winch, full-length aluminum skid plates, and steel baskets for front and rear racks. - Optional: If funds allow, a phone/tablet mount for navigation should be included. Additionally, the contractor will pick up two trade-in ATVs from the Hoosier National Forest located in Bedford, IN. The trade-in units are both 2016 Honda Rubicon 500 4x4 models with one having 167.5 hours and the other with 104 hours. Period of Performance The delivery of the ATVs must occur within 60 calendar days from the date of receipt. Place of Performance Hoosier National Forest, Bedford, IN. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be qualified vendors capable of providing the specified ATVs and meeting all manufacturer’s specifications for labor, parts, and products installed. The solicitation is set aside for small business concerns.
