Background

The Central Basin Water Rights Panel, part of the court-appointed Central Basin Watermaster, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide groundwater extraction meter testing services in Los Angeles County, California. The goal is to ensure accurate measurement of groundwater extractions for effective administration and management of groundwater rights and basin operations.

Work Details

The selected consultant will provide annual and biennial testing, inspection, and related services for groundwater extraction flow meters. Specific tasks include: - Conducting annual tests for parties with 500 or more acre-feet of Allowable Pumping Allocation (APA) - Biennial tests for those with less than 500 acre-feet - Testing three to five meters per day using the pitot tube method - Providing monthly electronic copies of field data sheets and test results in PDF format - Invoicing the Panel monthly detailing the State Well Number of each meter tested. The contract covers approximately 236 known pumper sites within the Central Basin service area.
