Salem Township Administration Offices, Building Renovation & Addition Project

Background

Salem Township is issuing a contract for the renovation and addition of their Administration Offices. The goal of this project is to enhance municipal facilities by renovating existing structures and constructing a new 2,000 square foot addition. This project is part of the township's efforts to improve public service delivery and operational efficiency.

Work Details

The work includes all labor, materials, tools, oversight, and permits required for municipal building renovations and the construction of a new 2,000 SF addition. The project consists of multiple prime contracts covering General Building Construction, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, and Site-related construction. Specific site work includes pavement installation, underground roof leaders, sanitary and service utilities, concrete sidewalks, reinforced concrete aprons, and any other work shown or reasonably implied in the contract documents.

Period of Performance

The contract period begins upon notice to proceed on July 10, 2026. Substantial completion is expected by December 31, 2026, with final completion by January 29, 2027.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the Salem Township Administration Offices located at 38 Bomboy Lane, Salem Township, PA.

Bidder Requirements

All Prime Site Contractor Bidders must be PennDOT Prequalified for the tasks they complete. Additionally, all site subcontractors must also be PennDOT Prequalified as Sub-Contractors for their assigned tasks. Bids must include a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania amounting to 10% of the total bid amount. A Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract value will be required from the successful bidder.
