Background

The State of Tennessee, Department of Human Services, issues this Request for Proposals (RFP) to procure Assistive Technology Services through its Vocational Rehabilitation Services Program (VR). The VR program aims to provide vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to maximize employment opportunities. The goal of this RFP is to establish a reliable source of Assistive Technology Services that will help VR Customers achieve competitive integrated employment.

Work Details

The selected contractor will be responsible for: 1) Conducting Assistive Technology assessments to evaluate an individual's functional capacity and match them with appropriate Assistive Technology; 2) Providing training to enhance awareness and skills in using Assistive Technology; 3) Delivering and installing Assistive Technology for VR Customers. The RFP covers six service areas across Tennessee, with specific counties designated for each area. Proposals must cover all counties within the chosen service area(s), and separate cost proposals are required for each service area bid.

Period of Performance

The contract period is expected to span from October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2025.
