INTRODUCTION Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) has a need for aluminide treatments (pack-cementation or CVD) for Nickel-Chromium Alloy 230 substrates capable of withstanding high-temperature oxidation reaching or exceeding 2000 F. Discussion of other methodologies is acceptable. The primary requirements are: 1. Aluminide Treatments for Straightener Mesh - The substrate shall be a nickel-chromium Alloy 230 wire mesh directly exposed to dry air flow. It has a wire diameter of approximately 0.100 inches, and a total cross-sectional diameter of approximately 1 foot. Adhesion of the treatment must be comparable to the substrate's strength. 2. Aluminide Treatments for Liners - The substrate will be welded, thin-walled, nickel-chromium Alloy 230 flow liners directly exposed to dry air flow. The liners are 2-5 feet long and 1-2.5 feet in diameter. Adhesion of the treatment must be comparable to the substrate's strength.
Responses should include: 1. Company Information: Company name, company address, and telephone number and e-mail address of company point of contact. 2. System for Award Management (SAM) Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) Number. 3. Overview of company's technical capabilities including: a. The vendor's background b. Key corrosion protection capabilities c. Typical applications for these processes d. Quality assurance program, metrics, inspection methods, etc. e. Applicable specifications or standards for services in question d.
