Summary (Newest Update)

Background The Department of the Air Force, specifically the Ogden Air Logistics Center (AFLC), is issuing a contract for the remanufacture of B-52 Rotary Actuators. This initiative is part of their mission to maintain and ensure the serviceability of critical components used in military aircraft, particularly due to the aging effects on explosive compounds that necessitate periodic remanufacturing. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for receiving, disassembling, inspecting, remanufacturing, and testing the B-52 Rotary Actuator (MST NSN 1377-00-891-6310ES, P/N 1000-34), which will be supplied as Government Furnished Property (GFP). The remanufacturing process must adhere to Technical Orders (T.O.s) or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) procedures. Key deliverables include: 1. 100% of parts and materials used must meet or exceed original specifications. 2. All deviations from technical data must be submitted for government approval prior to use. 3. A Lot Acceptance Test (LAT) must be conducted to ensure compliance with performance requirements. 4. The contractor must provide a Test/Inspection Report and a Failure Analysis Report in case of test failures. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the product will be delivered to or performed at. Place of Performance The work will take place at the contractor's facility as specified in the contract, with items being shipped back to locations provided by the Government Item Manager. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have access to Government-approved contractor technical data for remanufacturing processes. They are also required to comply with safety regulations regarding explosive materials, including proper handling and storage as per military standards. Additionally, contractors must maintain a quality assurance program modeled on ISO 9001:2015 or an equivalent system.
