Background The Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), managed by UT-Battelle, LLC, is a U.S. Department of Energy science and energy laboratory focused on delivering transformative solutions in energy and security. The SAFETY & OPERATIONS SERVICES DIVISION is seeking to establish a Basic Ordering Agreement for the provision of safety shoes and boots to meet workplace safety requirements. Work Details The contract requires the supply and delivery of workplace Safety Shoes and Boots that meet or exceed ASTM F 2413 standards. Specific requirements include: - A wide variety of safety shoes and boots available for selection by ORNL authorized employees. - On-site services through a climate-controlled mobile shoe store, provided at least twice per month, with additional services available on short notice. - A local storefront within 30 miles of the ORNL campus displaying at least 200 styles and maintaining an inventory of at least 5,000 pairs of safety shoes/boots in various sizes. - The mobile shoe store must display at least 50 approved styles with an inventory of at least 1,500 pairs. - Acceptance of Company’s Safety Shoe Voucher form at both the mobile store and storefront. Period of Performance The anticipated subcontract period of performance is five years, including a base year plus four option years. Place of Performance Services will be performed at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory campus and surrounding areas within 30 miles for storefront operations. Bidder Requirements Offerors must demonstrate their ability to provide a wide selection of safety shoes and boots that comply with ASTM standards. They should also have local storefront capabilities within 30 miles of ORNL and provide mobile shoe store services as specified.
