Gasoline and Diesel Fuel

Background

The County of Ventura is seeking proposals to provide gasoline and diesel fuel for its annual requirements and for other participating agencies. The County operates on a fiscal year basis from July 1 to June 30, with historical spending of $4,600,000 in the last fiscal year. The contract aims to ensure a reliable supply of fuel, delivered on a scheduled or on-demand basis throughout the county.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary fuel, transportation, labor, supervision, equipment, and any other expenses required to deliver gasoline and diesel fuel. Deliveries must occur within 36 hours of order receipt unless otherwise specified. The contract will last for three years with options for two one-year renewals. Pricing will be based on the Thursday Unbranded OPIS LA Early Day Unleaded/Diesel average price adjusted by a specified differential. The contractor must also maintain records of purchases and comply with all relevant safety regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract is set to commence in Fall 2026 and will last for three years with options to renew for up to two additional years.

Place of Performance

Deliveries will be made throughout Ventura County as specified by the ordering agency or department.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must be licensed to operate in California and possess all necessary permits. They should provide evidence of financial stability through recent financial statements and demonstrate experience in similar projects through references. Additionally, they must have a Business Continuity Plan in place for emergency situations.
