HSVC Refuse Service FY27

Background

The State of Hawaii, through the Department of Defense, is seeking bids for refuse service at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. The mission of this contract is to ensure proper waste management and disposal at the cemetery, which serves veterans and their families. The goal is to maintain a clean and respectful environment for visitors.

Work Details

The contractor shall provide six (6) 3 cubic yard dumpsters equipped with wheels/casters and lids. Service will be scheduled twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays between 6:30 AM and 2:30 PM. In case of holidays or unforeseen circumstances such as truck breakdowns or inclement weather, an alternative pickup will be arranged with the Cemetery Representative. The service period begins on July 1, 2026, and concludes on June 30, 2027. The contractor is responsible for the proper disposal of all collected refuse materials in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. All work must adhere to applicable laws, rules, codes, ordinances, and regulations. The contractor must maintain cleanliness in refuse collection areas at the end of each workday.

The contract will be performed from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery located at 45-349 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI 96744.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed in all appropriate trades required to perform the work and must submit proof of valid licensure by the State of Hawaii. Additionally, bidders must comply with Hawaii Compliance Express (HCE) requirements throughout the term of service. They are also required to provide necessary licenses for work and ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state statutes.
