Foster Care Case Management

Background

The State of Missouri's Department of Social Services is seeking proposals for Foster Care Case Management services. The goal is to provide a comprehensive system of child welfare services, including case management for children in out-of-home placements, family-centered services for parents and guardians, and community resource development. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of services and outcomes for children and families within Missouri's child welfare system through a public-private partnership.

Work Details

The contractor will provide a range of child welfare services including: - Case management services for children in out-of-home placements. - Family-centered services for parents, siblings, and legal guardians from whose care the child was removed. - Resource home development and community resource development. The contractor must comply with federal and state laws, regulations, and policies as outlined in the Child Welfare Manual. Services must respect cultural differences and meet the needs of families with special requirements. The contractor will operate in designated regions within Missouri, ensuring that all counties receive the full range of required services. Specific counties include areas in St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Central Missouri, South Central Missouri, Southwest Missouri, and Southeast Missouri.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective from the date of award through one year.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed across various counties in Missouri as specified in the awarded region(s).

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have a minimum of five years' experience providing child welfare services within Missouri. They must be licensed as a child placing agency by the state of Missouri and maintain accreditation by recognized bodies such as the Council on Accreditation (COA). Additionally, all personnel must meet education and experience requirements set forth by their accrediting body.
