Background

The Long Beach Public Utilities Department (LBPUD) is seeking formal bids to furnish and deliver petroleum products essential for the maintenance of various vehicles and equipment at LBPUD facilities and other locations throughout the City of Long Beach. The goal of this contract is to ensure that LBPUD can effectively maintain its operations through the provision of necessary petroleum products, including motor oils, lubricants, grease, and hydraulic fluids.

Work Details

The contractor will be required to supply and deliver a range of petroleum products as specified in the bid documents. These products include: motor oils, lubricants, grease, and hydraulic fluids. The contractor must ensure that all products meet the specifications outlined in the solicitation documents. Delivery and pickup conditions will also be specified, including minimum order quantities and installation requirements if applicable.

Period of Performance

The contract period is set for twelve (12) months from the date of award. There is an option for mutual agreement to extend the contract for up to two additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at various locations throughout the City of Long Beach as designated by LBPUD.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a bid guarantee in the form of a cashier’s check or a certified check equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. Bidders must also comply with local preference provisions by providing a valid business license from the City of Long Beach and a valid seller’s permit showing a place of business within city limits. Additionally, bidders are required to submit documentation proving compliance with insurance requirements as outlined in the General Conditions.
