The goal is to collect and analyze forensic DNA evidence to identify, investigate, and prosecute offenders. Work Details

The contract involves the supply of approximately 2,000 to 3,000 Victim Kits and 200 to 300 Suspect Kits annually. Each kit must include specific items such as sample envelopes, sterile cotton-tipped applicators, evidence tape seals, custom consent forms, collection instruction lists, and biohazard stickers. The successful bidder must provide customized kits within 60 days of award and ensure all materials are sterile/DNA-free. Bidders must also submit documentation proving their ability to supply such materials and provide three references from similar projects.

Period of Performance

The anticipated term for the Purchase Order resulting from this solicitation is five years, starting from July 1, 2026.

Place of Performance

The kits will be delivered to various CBI customers including hospitals and law enforcement agencies across Colorado.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered and verified as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) if applicable. They are required to submit documentation of certification through the U.S. Small Business Administration.
