2026 Road Program

Background

The East Brandywine Township, located in Chester County, Pennsylvania, is issuing a solicitation for the 2026 Road Program. The goal of this contract is to enhance various roadways throughout the township by performing necessary repairs and improvements. This program aims to ensure safe and efficient transportation infrastructure within the community.

Work Details

The project consists of the following tasks on various roadways throughout the Township:

Base Repair

- Installation of an asphalt scratch coat and paving fabric - Installation of wearing surface - Installation of seal coat surface - Rolled curb replacement - Miscellaneous preparation and finishing work. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. The successful bidder must comply with prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence after award and must be completed by June 25, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed on various roadways within East Brandywine Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide bid security in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate qualifications such as maintaining a permanent place of business, having adequate equipment, suitable financial status, and recent experience on similar projects.
