Background

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is seeking proposals for Accident and Investigation Services. The agency's mission is to ensure safe and efficient transportation systems across the state. The goal of this contract is to engage a consultant who can conduct thorough accident investigations and related work, thereby enhancing public safety and transportation efficiency.

Work Details

The selected consultant will be responsible for conducting accident investigations statewide. This includes gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, analyzing data, and preparing detailed reports on findings. The consultant may also be required to provide recommendations based on the investigations to improve safety measures.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to last for a specified duration as outlined in the final agreement. Proposals will be accepted from May 22, 2026, to June 22, 2026.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed statewide in Alabama, with specific locations determined by the nature of the accidents being investigated.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with various requirements including registration with the Alabama Secretary of State if they are a foreign entity. Additionally, contractors must enroll in the E-Verify Program for employment verification as mandated by the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act.
