Background The contract is issued by the Forest Service, Region 4, which oversees National Forests in Idaho, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. The goal of this contract is to perform routine inspections and documentation of road bridges, specifically focusing on Non-redundant Steel Tension Members (NSTM). This initiative aims to ensure the safety and structural integrity of bridges within the Intermountain Region's National Forests. Work Details The contractor will conduct routine road bridge inspections and NSTM inspections as outlined in the Statement of Work. Key tasks include: 1. Performing inspections on 14 specified road bridges using ladder access. 2. Preparing comprehensive reports that include costs for inspections, reports, transportation, per diem, traffic control, access equipment, inspection equipment, specialized personnel, safety equipment, incidental supplies, photographs, and coordination with the Forest Service. 3. Submitting a preliminary inspection schedule at least 45 days before field activities commence and providing weekly updates to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on completed inspections. 4. Documenting findings using the USDA Forest Service Bridge Inspection Guide and submitting all reports into the AssetIntel inspectX bridge management system within specified timeframes. 5. Ensuring that all work is performed under the supervision of a licensed Professional Structural or Civil Engineer with relevant experience. Period of Performance Estimated start date is May 1, 2025, with completion expected by December 31, 2026. Place of Performance The contract will be performed across various locations within the Forest Service Intermountain Region (Region 4) National Forests in Idaho, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.
