Background The USGS (United States Geological Survey) is seeking to procure the operation of a wet atmospheric monitoring station designated site LA30, as part of the National Trends Network (NTN). The mission of this contract is to support the interagency National Atmospheric Deposition Program by ensuring accurate and consistent collection of precipitation data. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for operating a field-located precipitation collection station on a weekly basis. Tasks include: - Conducting weekly site visits to collect, process, and ship precipitation samples; - Collecting, processing, and transmitting associated data including the precipitation gauge record; - Performing routine instrument checks; - Conducting maintenance and repairs as needed. The contractor will also coordinate with the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) regarding site specifications, maintenance performance, and necessary training or guidance. Period of Performance The period of performance is anticipated to be for 12 months from the date of award, with four additional 12-month option periods available. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the NADP/NTN wet atmospheric monitoring station designated site LA30.
