Background The United States Air Force, specifically the 20th Contracting Squadron located at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC, is seeking a contractor to provide a Protestant Music Director and Musician. The goal of this contract is to enhance the worship experience for the Protestant community through live music and structured musical leadership, thereby fostering spiritual renewal within the community. Work Details The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform as the Protestant Worship Leader. Key responsibilities include: - Providing live music to enhance worship services. - Leading the musical portion of weekly Protestant worship services at Shaw AFB in coordination with the assigned chaplain. - Preparing musical selections and leading rehearsals for vocalists and musicians. - Conducting weekly rehearsals lasting no less than 30 minutes and being present at least 15 minutes before rehearsals and 30 minutes before services for setup. - Ensuring that all musical equipment and supplies are properly maintained and secured after use. - Reporting all song selections to CCLI as necessary and providing song sheets along with video clips for review prior to practices. - Conducting special services including New Year’s Eve, Christmas Eve, weddings, funerals, and memorials as required. - Meeting monthly with the assigned chaplain to discuss program status and feedback. Period of Performance The period of performance is for one base year of 12 months with four additional option years of 12 months each. Place of Performance Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, South Carolina.
