Background The contract is issued by the USDA Forest Service for an on-site assessment of the Superior National Forest Water Lab, located in Ely, MN. The goal of the contract is to ensure that the lab complies with the Safe Drinking Water Act and Minnesota Department of Health requirements, thereby supporting the mission of maintaining safe and reliable water testing services at recreation and administrative sites. Work Details The contractor will perform an on-site assessment of the Superior National Forest Water Lab in accordance with the Minnesota Department of Health On-Site Assessment Agenda (MDH-ELAP, 2009). The contractor must be approved by the Minnesota Department of Health MN Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program and listed as an approved organization. The assessment will include: - Sending one signed paper and one electronic assessment report to MN-ELAP; - Sending one signed paper and one electronic copy to the Superior National Forest; - Providing a summary of investigation methods and findings; - Citing relevant requirements from the 2016 TNI standard; - Including a description of observations made by assessors that support their findings. Period of Performance The contract period of performance is from August 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at the Superior National Forest — Kawishiwi Ranger District, located at 1393 Highway 169, Ely, MN 55731.
