Background The U.S. Department of Justice, through the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), is seeking to procure Comprehensive Medical Services (CMS) for the United States Penitentiary (USP) located in Pine Knot, Kentucky. This justification outlines the need for other than full and open competition due to the unique capabilities of the incumbent contractor, Seven Corners, Inc., which is essential for maintaining uninterrupted medical services for the inmate population. Work Details The contract involves the continuation of community and institution-based comprehensive medical services with Seven Corners, Inc. The services include essential medical, dental, and mental health care for Federal inmates. Specific tasks include: 1) Inpatient and outpatient facility and physician services; 2) Outpatient institution services in various specialties such as Dermatology, ENT, General Surgery, Neurology, Orthopedics, Psychology, Urology, and Optometry.
