Background The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this request for quotation (RFQ) for alarm monitoring and annual inspections at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The goal of the contract is to ensure the safety and security of park facilities through effective monitoring and maintenance of fire and intrusion alarm systems, as well as sprinkler systems, in compliance with applicable regulations. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for monitoring 14 fire and intrusion alarm systems and conducting annual inspections of 8 sprinkler systems across 20 structures within Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The contractor must adapt monitoring equipment to existing system brands including Bosch, ADT, EPS, Midstate, and Honeywell. Services include: - Monitoring of fire and intrusion alarms - Annual inspections of fire alarms and sprinkler systems - Compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, specifically NFPA 72 - Adherence to Director’s Order (DO) 58 regarding structural fire management - Ensuring that the contractor's site is hot redundant with a fully functioning backup system that meets UL listing requirements for security and safety. Period of Performance The contract period is from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027, with options for additional years extending through July 31, 2031.
