The Employment Development Department (EDD) is issuing Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 127986 for Annual Carpet and VCT (Vinyl Composite Tile) Cleaning Services at their facility located at 745 Franklin Street, San Francisco, CA 94102. The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the EDD facility through professional cleaning services.

Work Details

The contractor will provide comprehensive carpet and VCT cleaning services, including: 1. Moving furniture and other items from carpeted areas prior to cleaning. 2. Vacuuming the carpeted area using a commercial-grade vacuum with a beater bar. 3. Pre-treating carpets for stains, removing gum, and applying environmentally safe chemicals. 4. Utilizing a truck-mounted cleaner with a minimum of 23 horsepower to steam clean carpets at high temperatures. 5. Ensuring that 95% of water used is extracted from the carpet post-cleaning and drying carpets using air blowers as necessary. 6. Stripping VCT floors to remove scuff marks and applying four coats of wax. 7. Reporting any safety hazards or faulty equipment encountered during work. 8. Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations while on-site.

Period of Performance

The contract period is from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2029.
